I've played with many Linux flavours (Fedora, Suse, Mandriva, etc) but find the new Ubuntu Ultimate Edition to be great. I'm past learning about adding the usual odds and sods on top of the basic distro and this version saves me having to bother with that. This is one I'd recommend to anyone, especially if you've torn your hair out with nvidia drivers, etc. Nice article, Jonas, thanks!
