I just finished one of the most beautyful hikes I have ever done yesterday. I’m pretty much blown away, both mentally and physically by the cold, the sun, the clouds, the snow, and the wind. Especially the wind that kept blowing clouds by us, hiding the view one moment, and exposing all the souroundings the next. It was a cold experience and not exactly a comfortable one either (new boots… auch), but damn was it beautiful. So here are 7 pictures:

Everything was covered in frost like that. Plants, rocks, and my dark hair was completely white after 30 minutes of exposure to the elements (it wasn’t snowing btw)

My fellow hikers making the grey scenery a little more colorful

Walking in line up the mountainside

The clouds had a habit of coming by more often than not and staying in pretty much the same altitude as us

Standing looking at the sudden gab of atmosphere standing in our way
It tell you it was pure magic. And the reason why I’ve uploaded 7 pictures this time is because I couldn’t cut down more. Usually I take about 200 pictures on a hike, save around 30 and upload 2. This time I took 130 (It was too cold to go photo-amok), and saved 50. The light and sharpness of the air was just right.
Click on the photos to see bigger versions and/or what I have on flickr anyway.
