Climbing Ben Nevis

Autumn in and around Scotland

The night before the couchsurfer staying with me had suggested we could go climb Ben Nevis the next day. It sounded like a great idea so we woke up at 5am and headed for Fort Williams to walk up the mountain. It was drizzling when we started and it didn't take us long to reach the clouds. We spent a moment on the top in the clouds eating a sandwhich before we went back down. To our surprise the clouds parted and gave us a beautiful view out over the valley and surrounding area.
