Rust

Some of the lesser know beauties of Paris is definitely the rusty drain-pipes hiding in the back-streets. Here are a couple I caught on film from my last visit.

Post-it

As I was walking the streets in Paris, a window suddenly caught my attention. At first sight it looked like somebody was playing a bizarre kind of square tetris, but I soon realized that it was in fact post-it notes, and took this picture:

La Seine

houseboats laying on the bank of the Seine, with Notre Dame in the background.

Colors in Paris

Here are three different photos, all of colors I found throughout Paris.

Painting
Well, it’s actually a statue, which explains the green hue of the base

Waterline
From the bank of La Seine, the red is rust from an iron ring above the photo

Purple
Some old graffiti not really cleaned

Train

This is a series of photos I took of some flower while a train was driving by in the backround. I find the serie interesting because the colors of the unfocused trainwagons gives the pictures an unatural glow.

Mailbox

As the title so clearly instructs, this is actually a part of a mailbox. The yellow thing is probably meant to have a name on it, but the one I found didn’t, and good the same.

Photos and an update

The activity has been a little low the last week or two, because I have been skiing in the Alps and visiting Paris. As anyone could guess, this means lots of new photos. So many in fact, that I don’t really know what to do with them. But I think I’ll just post a photo a day untill I get tired of it. Or maybe I’ll post more than one photo, if they belong together, but I might just as well post less than one, so this is no plegde to regular updates.

Encore de houseboats!

I don’t know why, but I usualy post my photos in pairs of three. We can’t have this kind of stability hanging around, so to break the rule, here’s a real pair of two photos both from the same houseboat.

P1050296.jpg
The contrast was a little too much for my camera, hence the the read line, but besides that I can inform that it’s the steeringwheel of the boat. I think there’s actually a word for that, but right now I’m completely blank

Window
This is some painted windows I found interesting. They were all painted white, most probably because everybody walking on the shore could glance right in, if not.

Houseboat, grafitti and a dead bird

And for yet another picture-session:

Dead Bird
This is a dead bird

Grafitti
This is grafitti, but I’m not sure it’s not spelled graffiti… dunno.

Stripes
And finally, the boat! Although this is only a small detail from it

The mountains aren’t pretty, cause there’s almost no snow, so I have to find something else to take pictures of.

Toulouse in Orange

To continue the photo spree I’ve been in the las couple of days. These are the last from this time around though, but it’s snowing outside so I’m hoping to get to the mountains soon. (snow in southern France!!! It’s superb.)

Orange Grafitti
I found this orange building in an empty street in central Toulouse. Handheld with shutter on 1/4s… took me forever to take something that wasn’t blurred

Bike and Chain
This is just a bike. Enjoy the blue color.

Running
Actually one of those zoo photos

So that’s it. No more this time around.
