St Andrews and the Fife Coastal Walk

Springtime

Over the weekend I visited St. Andrews where I spent a couple of days having a wonderful time couchsurfing before I walked back towards Edinburgh along the beautiful Fife coastline.

The ruins of St Andrews cathedral that was destroyed by the protestants. Presumably it was too flashy.
The east beach on a very windy day. It's a miracle that the clouds don't have motion blur.
Looking back on St Andrews
Rugged coast close to the eastern beach
I found plenty of blue and purple flowers near the coast
Crates by the harbour
Detail from the Cathedral of St Andrews
A nice dose of early morning sea
Setting out on my walk early Sunday morning
A family of unidentified birds swimming away. They could be ducks.
The landscape a little more than half the way to Crail
A game of cricket on the beach in Elie
The view out over the bay near Lundin Links where I ended my walk with tired legs and found out that there was no bus on Sundays so I had to hitchhike to Leven
