Havelock Island, The Andamans

The Andaman Islands

After traveling around mainland India for a week I took a plane to the Andaman islands located in the Bay of Bengal. The first week there I stayed at Havelock island taking diving lessons. This is (to my knowledge) a fairly typical touristy tropical island. There are still nice spots to be found though, and since I was around during the monsoon the place was fairly empty.

The beach in front of the resort in which I stayed in during early evening.
A fishing boat moored in the mangrove
Beach boxed in by mangrove forest and sprayed with falling leaves.
Leaves from the mangrove trees floating in the water .
Mangrove and dead corals.
Close up of a fishing boat.
The beach by the village is littered with garbage and beer bottles.
Keep cool. Just do it.
Local village life by the jetty.
A small friend on the beach. There would be thousands of these zigzagging in front of my toes.
Another friend, making his way across the desert.
These amphibious fish would sit on the beach near the mangrove trees and then jump away on top of the water when I would appear.
The only road on the island.
A puppy at the peer.
